The following information on students and teachers Dunbar HS in Lynchburg VA is taken from the Lincoln Memorial Year Book of Lynchburg - A Directory of the Colored People for The Colored People 1940. A copy of this directory was found amongst the papers of a friends mother following her death. It is identified as the first souvenir editon..whose purpose was to "reflect significant thought, cultural activity and creditable accomplishments of the colored people of Lynchburg and vicinity...as of the close of 1940" I am not sure if further editions were ever published.
