It's been a while since I've been active on the Afrigeneas website. I am researching my family surname Slaughter in the Johnston, Edgefield County, SC area. At one time, I was a member of OEDGS and they published a book on African American cemetaries in Edgefield County. They have a wealth of information about the AA churches in that County. I received info from Tonya at OEDGS about the AA Genealogy Group. I think I will join and become active again about searching for my family's history.
