Hi, maybe someone can help me. My mother graduated from the Jenkins County Training School in Millen, Jenkins County, Georgia, USA, around 1933. I understand that the school was destroyed [by fire?] sometime in the 1950s. There used to be an Alumni Association, which may now be defunct. Has anyone heard of this institution? Does anyone know if any records survived the institution's destruction? My mom was never able to get any records when she applied for Social Security benefits, but that was quite a few years ago [she died in 1997 at age 82]. Perhaps there is some information out there now that wasn't available to her at the time.
