Can anyone help me find information about a cousin, named Eva Pinkney, living in Johnston SC abt 1900 as a teacher. SC census records says she was a school teacher. I would like any information available and guidance on what to look for to find information about her. I am hoping that since school teachers normally were not married, her information will lead me to the names of her sisters IF they married. I am unable to find any death information for Eva Pinkney(all spellings). I DO have records for the male members of her family but, it seems only the men were the informants on the certificates and on one for Eva's mother Harriet Pinkney the copy of death certificate sent was so faded until I can't tell what name it is. It seems like a H? Hampton. I haven/t found anyone with that surname so far.
