Incredible! She most have had an extraordinary life, from the chorus line to Congress! I saw a photo of her in "Afro-American" from around
1936/37 when she went on tour to Europe with Ruth Ellington, Duke's sister. Ellington was worried about Ruth's night life and Isabel was
the perfect choice as a chaperone..
I would have loved to talked to her!
Please, tell her that she is not forgotten among the Ellington aficinados.
