Washington, Isabel - married Adam Clayton Powell Jr...

Isabael is my summer next door neighbor on Martha's Vineyard. She and Congressman Powell came here in the early 1940's. She is in her 90's, and resides in Harlem. She was a dancer/showgirl at the Club, from Savannah, Ga. Her sister, the late Fredi Washington, played the lead role in the original Hollywood film ""Imitation of Life". Mrs. Powell never remarried. Her grandchildren are named Tommy and Tia, he about my age, she a couple years older. Tommy managed a jazz band in NYC, last I heard.
