I found a Cotton Club Program from 1934, when my mother was working in the show. The bandleader at this time was Jimmy Lunceford. I also remember her speaking about performing with the Cab Callaway band -I really do not have anecdotal information about Duke Ellington although I have reason to believe that she worked with him also. Are you writing a book on Duke Ellington? And,is this research for publication or thesis? Just interested.
