I had to toss this one into the hat too (smile). If you have not already done one why not produce a Family Heirloom Book that each relative could have a copy of? We had one in 2008 and it's fabulous if I do say so myself (pats self on back). The book is basically a family album beyond belief. It's 160 pages, has over 400 family photographs (some over 100 years old), obituaries, WW1 Draft Registration Cards, Census reports following five descending bloodlines from 1870 to 1880, Death Certificates, family stories, Master Wedding Date Directory, Master Cemetery Directory, Social Security Applications, Certificate of Cohabitation, brief history of family cemetery, memorial pages, some info relative to Texas & SC history of slavery and a quick 101 in Census Reports. There's a special section featuring famous family members, special achievements, professions that run in the family and even a section on family members married 40 years and older. The entire book was even printed in full color and has a semi-hard cover. We printed 150 of them and they were the SMASH of the REUNION. The intent and hope is that everyone will keep theirs and pass it down to their children. All their family in one place to take home and treasure. Messages In This Thread
