The time is drawing near. July 3-5, 2009, Hilton-Chicago/Indian Lakes Resort, Bloomingdale, Illinois. There will be the Meet and Greet on Friday and we will spend the day sharing family information. On Saturday, we
will take buses to Navy Pier in Chicago for a Lunch Cruise aboard ship on Lake Michigan, then spend some time at the Taste of Chicago (or whatever) before taking buses back to the hotel. I will do a family history presentation and one of my cousins, who I met through AfriGeneas, will also do a presentation. There will be a dinner dance Saturday night. We still don't have a DJ (I should bring my LPs). I hope some of those DJs we contacted get back to us soon. I'm printing schedules to pass out, and printing a bi-fold dinner program acknowledging three Family Legends (we do this at each reunion and present each one with a gift). I'm also printing place mats for the dinner. On Sunday we will have a Prayer Service. I am completing the Liturgy today and tomorrow. Members of the family have volunteered to participate to do readings, music, etc.
