We have had different things like cruise, broadway show, and amusment parks. The people who did not like those activities or change did not come.

Will have to realized everyone will not be happy with whatever you do and just make the change. After realizing the fun missed they will start to get it.

Luckily we did not really lose a lot attendance except for the cruise (cost). They just did not attend those activities.

Maybe you can do a survey of family to see how much intrest you have. And when you present your idea to the committee have research and a plan or sketch itinerary of activities to show it can happen.
