We ask family members to donate items for goodie bags. Perhaps a few siblings can go in together and buy items at the dollar store and contribute that way. Also, people who work at jobs where they can get premiums may be able to dontate items. I found out a few years ago that it was hard to solicit items because our family reunion was not incorporated nor did we have a tax ID number. (at least I think that was the reason they told me) I also check the grocery store from time to time to see if they have items on close-out that they are selling real cheap. Depending on how many bags you need to fill, you may be able to get a good deal at the Oriental Trading company. Good Luck!
