I'm hoping to restart the tradition of having a family reunion on my maternal granddad's side of the family and could use a few pointers on getting started.

I'm looking to do this next year and am wanting to keep it simple. The last one we had was about 11 years ago. It was a one day affair at a park (we ate, played games and got reacquainted since that was the first time we had been together in years). I would like to do something similar since several of the descendants in our branch of the tree are still talking about how wonderful a reunion that was.
