This past weekend I attended a family reunion with lost relatives that I found online late last year. The hosts were the descendants of my maternal grandfather's missing sister Eunice; also attending was the newly discovered grandson of my grandfather's other missing sister: Lula. I had documented Eunice up to 1930 but Lula was a mystery once she was no longer in the household of my great grandparents. Lula's grandson furnished us with information about Lula and her descendants.
My real point is this: Last night at the final event, I wondered out loud to Lula's grandson if he thought it possible that Lula, Eunice and my grand dad could be aware that we had found each other, connecting the circle once again. I would so like to think that they know. I am so amazed and very happy with what the three of us have been able to put together. I guess I would like to share my joy with them.
