Hi everyone!

It's been a while since I've posted on AfriGeneas.

Just wanted to share blog posts, photos, and videos from our 19th family reunion. We had over 100 people in attendance from July 27-31, 2011.

This reunion was the first that featured the Get Social! Initiative. It's one where we encouraged family members (both young and old) to share their experiences about the reunion online via Facebook, Twitter, our blog, and our family group on Facebook. This was so those who were unable to make it were able to experience the reunion.

Additionally, the AtlasFamily.Org Cooperative debuted. This is a collective that we started that taps into the expertise of family members and allows them to share it with the family. This includes conducting workshops at the reunion. We're developing a social network just for family members so we can make the cooperative more virtual.
