I let my sister talk me into hosting a family gathering for Labor Day weekend 2004. I sent out letters in July 2003 letting everyone know that we would like to have a family gathering (this will be the first on my father's side) I asked for suggestions, opinions, help for committees and address of other family members. I received very few responds. I am still a one person planning committee. My daughter is "THE'" talent show committe, my niece is "THE" T-shirt committee and just recently my sister became "THE" food committee.

Now I have sent out a second letter stating where we will be and what we will be doing each day and the fee amount. Still no respond.
This is my first time hosting a runion and it is very fustrating. Should I continue with the plans or forget the whole idea? All the money spent so far has been out of my pocket. I could not get anyone to even help me print the letters to send. What should I do?
