Congratulations on your reunion...I am also House....that is my mother was Felicia Louise House born about 1899, one of six children born to John and Martha House. The House family I belong to come from Rowan County, N.C., in Gold Hill Township.

Joel House my greatgrandfather was aborn about 1824, lived in Cabarrus County, N.C. and considered a free person of color. He was married to Kaziah, who appears in the 1870 RowanCounty census at 46; and she had four sons: Josiah House, Monroe House, Martin House, and John House. John House, my grandfather was born in 1860 and died in 1910; he married Martha Crowell, daughter of Andrew and Rachael Crowell, in November 1885. They had six children: Fred in 1888, Eugene in 1894, Maggie in 1890, Felicia in 1899, Theola in 1901, and Frankie in 1903. We have had some reunions, but now slacked off for a while, and just might get back into the stream of things. Wonder if we are related though. Joseph
