I'm not a Pettiford, but my brother-in-law is. His name is Brian Pettiford and he is from Tifton, Georgia. His Pettiford branch left North Carolina and went to Georgia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and I'm pretty sure Detroit, Michigan. His grandfather was Solomon Pettiford of Tifton, GA. His great Grandfather was Alonzo Pettiford from Wake County, NC and then Tifton, and his 2nd great grandmother was Mindy Pettiford of Oak Grove, Wake, NC.
