Dee, in reading your response it sounds like the problem is that the reunion is turning into something you hadn't anticipated and are not sure you want. If that's the case, your family needs to decide whether you want your reunion to maintain its original composition, or if you want to officially expand it to include extended multiple families/guests.

To minimize hurt feelings, your reunion committee (or perhaps a group of elders) should meet and decide this question as a whole, giving everyone an opportunity to provide their input. Maybe a mail ballot, or some other way of commenting on the issue would be helpful. Either way, a decision should be made "as a family" to decide this issue once and for all.
