Hello Regina
I checked the map and Columbus County appears to be at the lower end of the state, closer to South Carolina. Franklin County is north, closer to the VA line. I have traced the Kelley line in Franklin to 1826 however anything is possible. I don't know of any relations being in Columbus. My great, great, grandfather was Edmond Kelly.
