I have enjoyed reading your informative posts. This is my first post and need some seasoned input regarding a situation with a hotel.
I selected a major hotel to host my family's 2007 reunion. The hotel is in the process of chaging ownership and will be undergoing major renovations. When I received the contract, I thought it to be rather non specific and included no remedy if the hotel was at fault. I emailed the sales manager I was dealing with putting forth my concerns and requested some changes and additions to firm up the contract. Below is a the completre verbatim response I received. Your reaction and course of action? Thank you for your seasoned input.
"Is it just me or is these request a bit extreme for a family reunion of only 20 room nights? I will agree to the review clause, food and beverage clause and to maintain star rating.
The remaining request are conceivable if this were a large piece of business...do you not agree? I can find another reunion to replace this in a heartbeat without the headache.
