I think this kind of publishing would be great. It looks like the finished product would be something you could really be proud of. I usually design our keepsake booklet with family info in the front (reunion itinerary, dedication/scripture/committee page, family accomplishments/news, family history, family tree, letters of greetings) followed by the ads in the back. Then I print camera-ready pages from my computer and take them to the printer. The inside is black ink, but the cover is in color. The finished product isn't a book, but more like a booklet.
I like the idea of having a book printed; it would make a fantastic gift for your family VIPs such as the elders and the winners of any contests you may hold during your reunion. It's also great for your younger generations and more likely to hold up to the test of time than booklets printed or copied at Kinkos. A lot to think about!
