As a suggestion, you may want to get a feel from family members to see if they are keenly interested in combining before you proceed with the merger.

Also, if the interest is there, I would suggest that an executive committee is formed, comprising of people from all of those branches. If you try to merge and take on the responsibility of planning a "grand reunion", it will wear you out!
