Congratulations on what sounds like a great reunion! I read your comments about the lack of submissions for your family newsletter, and it sounded like deja vu. I had the same situation with my family; they were glad to receive the quarterly newsletters, but no one wanted to contribute. Same thing with the website - they love it, but no one ever sends me pictures or anything.

I guess we just have to accept that only a few of us will be the ones who document our families in writing; others are either not interested or too unsure of themselves to step forward. It falls to us to keep the newsletters/websites coming because if we don't do it, no one will.

I will say that I've had marginally better luck with the family e-mails I've sent out. I've been collecting family e-mail addresses for years, and usually every month to 6 weeks I'll send a mass e-mail out to everyone with a bit of news and/or trivia. I usually get 10 or so responses with more family news to include in the next e-mail. Works better than the printed newsletter lately.
