ONE MORE THING- If you have friends that own business', ask them to donate an item or gift certificate exclusive to their business. I have no problem asking manager's at department store's, can they donate an item to help us raise funds for our family reunion, especially if it's a place I shop at often. They find it hard to keep looking at me after saying 'no'. AND NEVER FORGET- to send a letter of appreciation to whoever donates. I will even tell them about a competitor's cooperation in donating. They will be very appreciative of the WRITTEN THANK YOU.
