I am still researching my Branch line with little results so far. So far I have not uncovered much information on the Branch side though I isuspect that they originate in Chester/York county SC or Charleston, SC. My maternal grandmother, Alberta Good Branch Thompson (1898-1985), was born in York County, SC. She married a man named "Branch" first name unknown in Charleston, SC in 1915-16. My father's name was Nathaniel William Branch (1916-1994) and was nicknamed "Sonny". I assume that he was named after his father or someone in his family but so far I have been unable to locate a record of his birth. I am checking his military records now.
