I have a grandmother who is a pettiford, her name was charlotte louise pettiford. and her mother was named Viola Pettiford, who was married to a i think they called him Papa johnson. They also said that viola parents who may be of irish or german descent. not sure my grandmother charlotte pettiford was born in 1919, and she had brothers and sisters ray pettiford, george, martin, bobby, and dorothy pettiford which is now a dorothy mcneal. would like to speak with some one to see if a possibility.
