What a wonderful memory. This would be great to still have especially for those that do not have family reunions. This reminds me of "Big Day" when I was young. A lot of southerners called the Sunday that follows the closing of the church revival "Big Day". That is when you would have the late Sunday service and dinner on the grounds served from boxes or baskets out of the car trunks. It was like a family reunion. Everyone would come back home for it. Family and friends would be excited to see each other.
I really thought that is was a holiday. No I am not stupid or backwards but everyone would come home and we would celebrate at church that Sunday. You did put your Sunday best on and out. People that were of diffent faiths came back for Big Days. As time have gone by everyone slacked off.
