My response:

Been at this ever since I found my dad and met him for the first time in 1991. He didn't know much about his father (my GF) who died when he was 9 or his mother (my GM) who died when he was 4. Yes, I have made a great deal of progress and met several living descendants on my GF's WALKER side. Nobody, though, on my GM's DOBBINS side. Scarce info on her. But...still plugging away.
