Re: Can Someone Address Family Reunion Cruises?
In Response To: Can Someone Address Family Reunion Cruises? ()
Hello Joseph, I've no experience with a reunion cruise; however, the idea of doing a cruise in 2012 was tossed up at my reunion. Many folk have not been on a cruise, and automatically many folk think that it'll cost a ton of money. However, I've been told that it's not as expensive as people think, and if they are given ample time to save, reunion cruises are great. In fact, one cousin pointed out to me that he'll probably spend nearly just as much to attend a reunion...(1) transportation to/from the reunion; (2) two to three nights at the hotel ($90 and up per night); (3) cost of reunion fees plus additional food and etc. With a cruise, you pay one fee I believe, and you are set for the entire duration of the cruise as far as lodging and food are concerned, and I've heard the food is plentiful on cruises. Of course you are responsible for getting to/from the loading dock via Miami, New Orleans, etc. I have a cousin who is on a family reunion cruise this weekend, and I will await to hear feedback from her.
