On June 10-11th, descendants of Harriett Bradley - Bat East Johnson and Fannie Walker - Penny White (Hempstead Co. Arkansas circa 1850s) gathered for a reunion in Laurel Maryland. This was the first time the Philadelphia, PA and Maryland based cousins were able to expand reunion efforts to include family members from the West and West Coast, and family member elsewhere across the country.

A modest but important step forward for us, we where blessed that many family members from the West and central Penssylvania where able to attend in spite of increase travel costs.

We were concerned and focused on reconnecting with each other and developing a shared understanding of the genealogy that connects us. We are especially concerned to encourage a stronger sense of kinship among the youth. Video clips of the Meet & Greet session, and the Achievements and Acknowledgements session are available on our famiily website. We will soon have available video of the Genealogy session. Perhaps these will be useful examples to others of you who may not have, as yet and like us, so strong a reunion tradition in your family.
