Just to let you know, I just found Celia and Legrand in the 1870 census today in Person Co., NC (she was the head of the household and also a Yancey, 1 year younger than Legrand in the household, so apparently widowed). I did not find them in earlier censuses, but I will try that Petfoot spelling!
