During our family reunion's (McNabb Family Reunion - held in Mrytle Beach, S.C. - July 2006)banquet two years ago, we lighted candles to pay tribute to our descent members. A poem was read while several family members lit the candles. They referred to the back of their souvneir booklets for the names of the family members that were no longer with us. It was a special and thoughtful part of our banquet program.

Another idea is at the family picnic have a balloon release ceremony to honor the memory of your loved ones. You can let as many particpate as you would like. Including the young and the young at heart will bring unity and a sense of togetherness for that special part of your weekend of events.
