Hi Felecia, Here's an idea. Recreate an "Oprah Winfrey Show". Have someone young in the family, whose enthusiastic and loves talking to an audience, to be Oprah. Your panel will be elderly family members. "Oprah" can talk about the family history, and the importance of knowing it, and incorporate the young people in the audience. Have the young people to ask the elderly family members on the panel some questions pertaining to the family history. Make it interactive and conversational. Also, for every young person who thinks of a question to ask the panel, award them with a prize. We played this one year, and it went over VERY well. One of my young cousins asked one of the family members on the panel if he remembered when his great-grandparents got married. Turns out, one of the panel members was able to give vivid accounts of their wedding day and even their courtship! That young cousin's face was filled with pride and joy to hear those firsthand accounts! And yes, it is VERY important to also mix the age groups. Mel
