How about something a little folksy?

I thought perhaps as a themse "Patches"
Then let everyone bring a square of some clothing that has meaning to them, and write their name on the patch. These could be sewn together as part of a family activity during the reunion.

Not for anything like a bedspread, but perhaps something to be framed. This wouldn't require any backing ect. Then the framed artwork could be presented to a family for keeping until the next reunion. Then the following year it could have patches added ect.....
