My husband's grandmother lives in Scranton, NC. They have an annual "Homecoming" at their church every 2nd Sunday in October. Folks who were born and raised there come back "home" for the grand celebration. Lots of good preaching and losts of good eating after service. Before my daughter started school we used always make sure that our annual visit fell on the weekend of the 2nd Sunday of the month in October.
