May God be with you and your family. I'm sorry to hear about the passing of your family's beloved, eldest family member. You all were indeed richly blessed by having this family member as part of the family who was able to share some valuable family history.

Your post this morning reminded me of the urgency to connect with our eldest family members. Coincidently, I talked with my family's eldest family member on yesterday, and he too is 101 years old. I wanted to tell him about the reunion, and how the family has decided to start a memorial fund to purchase a gravestone/memorial for the gravesite of his grandmother, my great-great-grandmother, the family's matriarch, Louisa Danner. He's the only one in the family living now who can pinpoint exactly where she's buried. He was indeed thrilled, and we hope to complete this project by his next birthday.

I know that this is a sad time for you and your family to have lost a precious jewel, but know that your family was blessed to have had this family member for so long. It is now time for that family member to rest with God.
