That's right!! It worked for me in my state. My name and address was entered in their system as the contact person for my reunion. Hotels all over my state and the neighboring state sent me packages of flyer's, discount coupons, maps, gift bags and even lowered prices when they saw I was leaning toward a better location. So it does pay to let the Convention center's help out. I found out more about my state this way than I ever imagined. There are some hotels in conjunction with stores that worked together to get your business and will provide extra service to fill those rooms. I even went to the malls and talked to the manager's and got coupons for their stores. They were able to verify our upcoming reunion by checking with the Convention Center.
