There's the celebratory end of the reunion and there's the business end. Reality DOES bite. Giving "crashers" a registration form and kindly but firmly requesting payment even on a reduced scale might be the best solution. Also, it might cause them some embarrassment and give them resolve to pay in advance so they can stride confidently into the next year's reunion like others who paid in advance.
