In our family, the host city establishes a reunion committee, elects officers and opens a bank account for the reunion. As family members register, the funds are deposited. At the reunion, we have two registration tables; one for those who prepaid, and one for on-site registration. At the prepaid table, it is just a matter of checking the name on a list, and passing out the welcome bags. At the on-site table, the 'trusted family members' are responsible for collecting the fees, writing receipts, preparing name tags and welcome bags. Name tags are required to enter the activity area.
