Nicka, I hear ya! The importance of having reunion is very important, and I try to let that govern rather than the twists and turns family members can surely put you through!
Nicka, I am still not convinced that you won't have around 200 at your reunion. In my experiences, it always seems that registrations pour in around 2 weeks before the reunion up to the day of the reunion! Mind you now, the deadline had passed. And let's not even get on the subject of pop-ups! There has not been a reunion where I have not had to deal with pop-ups! For those who don't know who pop-ups are, they are people who show up and who had never informed anyone that they were attending.
Also, we have to consider than many folk are just making up their minds to attend right around and after the deadline. Then, that's when your phone goes into overdrive trying to handle the phone calls from folk saying, "Me and my family want to attend, is it too late to send in registration." Typically, we never turn anyone away, and we even try our hardest to accommodate the pop-ups, all because we value the importance of reunions and family. It's nerve-wrecking at times, but we maintain. The ancestors want us to.
