I suggest you get the entire family involved in the planning and preparation process of the family reunion. Older youths can be asked to pick up materials and supplies as well as to help assemble items and help decorate.

Those who like to cook and bake can be asked to try out Family recipes. Cooking them for the immediate family in preparation for the big event.

Younger ones under 12 can assist in preparation by placing stamps on envelops, stuffing envelopes, assisting in baking and cooking, checking off list of shopping items, assisting in decorating the reunion ground, participating in voting, working as runners to get messages and materials to committee members and department heads and perform other general tasks according to skills and ability.

Games can be added to draw older youth into the union.

Amazing Family Race
A family vs. family competition that tests the limits of patience, self-control, unity and all that other great stuff. This race can be as much as two to three miles long and include bike riding, driving and hiking. Assigned video camera person recards the race from start to finish.
