Well with this reunion there really isnt a comittee. It is one person running the show with limited assistance from another. When I heard that she had offered to host a reunion in her area, I called to offer my assistance and to give her some hints. She responded with I know what I am doing ...... so I backed off. She then turned around and asked me for all of my history of this family. I explained that if I were to give her EVERYTHING, then what would I have to present to the family when it came back to NJ. To tell you the truth, that was actually a LIE. I didnt give her the information because my great aunt that was helping me with all the leads all but forbade me.. warning me, that if I shared the information now, that the person running this reunion would claim all of the hard work as her own. ((Sorry I lied, but I just confessed, sooooo And no, this person has never run a family reunion, nor does she even know a great deal of people in the family.

Anyway, I wrote her a note this morning explaining that she might want to reconsider those prices because it it too high, and she isnt offering enough for that amount of money. Plus she needs to remember that some people attend more than one reunion doing the summer. Actually I have several reunions next summer, and I have already had to cross this one out. I also mentioned that I am simply verbalizing to her what others are saying behind her back.

To my understanding.... registration fees might run between 25-95/100 dollars. And special prices might apply for children under 3 or 5 and seniors 70 and older.

All I know is 200 is way to much.
