I greatly applaud your desire to try to get your family together. Unity is extremely important for our community.

If you are able, why not set up a website about your family. The initial website doesn't have to be elaborate. Include history information, research, and your plans to get the family together, etc. Then, if you send out a letter to everyone, include the website and ask them to check it out. This also may generate more interest in the family and family reunion, and it'll demonstrate how serious you are in getting the family together.

I apologize for my delay in responding. I was involved with a family reunion this past weekend...and preparing for another one in less than 2 weeks.
