Date: 12/29/2009, 2:23 pm Dear Afrigeneas Reconstruction Researchers: The University of Florida’s Digital Collections includes the 1870 Constitution and Bylaws of the KKK. After reading it, I found several troubling ironies. Its bylaws suggest that it was similar to “coterminous” Southern states. Lofty wording and Latin quotes are puzzling, considering that its founder, NB forrest was a functional illiterate. Questionable historians who state that the klan started as a social club, should re-read its by-laws. Clearly, its references to Negroes disprove this myth. The worst and by far the most tragic irony is that the enrollment at the NB forrest High school in Jacksonville Florida is predominately black. Perhaps someone at the Univ. of Florida libraries can send over a forrest biographical profile. Here’s what the press reported: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1178241/the_nathan_bedford_forrest_high_school.html?cat=9 Better yet, its students, teachers and the Jacksonville community should read renowned US Colored Troops historian, Bennie McRae’s research on Fort Pillow: http://www.lwfaaf.net/cwdata/cw_fp.htm Finally those unfortunate African American (paid, non-paid) QUISLINGS who embrace neo-confederate mythology should hang their head in shame. Nowhere does the constitution state a love for people who looked like them. Please click on the link below to read 1870 Constitution and Bylaws of the KKK. K Wyer Lane
