NAPIER, Johnson Lawrence Cnty AL
In Response To: Re: 1867 voter registration~Madison Cnty AL
(STG) It can sometime become a mystery. Right up under my great grandfather is a man with almost the same name. My ggrandfathers name was John Napier the one right up under him was named Johnson Napier, who was he. Was that his brother.I have looked and tried to find Johnson Napier in the census with no luck.I called and asked them could someone sign that book twice they said no. I followed Johnson off of JSNapiers plantation over in Lawrence County Alabama thinking he was my ggrandfather, he was born the same year, Alabama archives say's that's him too.I thought he went to Madison County Alabama and changed his name to John and then I look and there is two of them sitting there. Take a look, John Napier Madison County Alabama. How do I get a bigger print out of that record. Did they have to go to the Court house to sign up. I have John's agrcultiure records ,there is no Johnson, although one of them did say Sr. I read somewhere that just because it has a Sr.in front of the persons name don't mean there was a son, they are just letting you know there was a younger one. HELP this is driving an old lady crazy. Messages In This Thread
