Hello Sharon, I have not been able to locate any slave ancestors through the WPA records.......as yet. However, the Ohio Historical Society has a collection of WPA slave narratives taken in the 1937-1938 time period. Click on the links, read the narratives and enjoy the photos. http://dbs.ohiohistory.org/africanam/mss/gr7999.cfm Photos: http://dbs.ohiohistory.org/africanam/photo/sc1495.cfm From this collection I vaguely remember Mr. & Mrs. Hawkins as my grandmother's neighbors in Springfield, OH and I know descendants of the Emmons and Wilborn gentlemen. Another Slave Narrative find was on Ancestry, A BOLDEN lady from Indiana is interviewed and one of her descendants was the first wife of my father. Slave Narratives are gold mines, but you have to really 'pan' to find those nuggets. Thanks for mentioning another resource with great potential......WPA Slave Narratives. Art Thomas
