Just a bit of info to put the 1867 Voter Registration in historical context for Afrigeneas researchers:
The 1867 registration was the first to enumerate recently emancipated black male citizens, as well as men who had survived the Civil War.
This registration is especially helpful for genealogists, because many Southern families, both black and white, moved/relocated during the period between the Civil War and the 1870 Federal Census.
Many 1867 voter registration records, (which include names of voters who registered to vote between 1867 and 1869) can be found at state archives, or on microfilm from The Family History Library.
Alabama's 1867 database is online, and the link is included in some of the posts above.
