Among the churches featured on the tour are:

• Reedy Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, an 1886 structure housing a congregation first established in 1848 for slaves;

• Holy Rosary Catholic Church, founded in 1889 and housed in a 1914 building;

• First Union Missionary Baptist Church, founded in 1870 and serving as the mother church of the Texas State Convention;

• Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, organized in 1876.
