Hi Holly,he was listed as a fugitive on the slave record 1850,he was about 9 years old.Of course we know there were ,nt any names but through our research we followed him by age and him being a mullato.In the 1870 census of Huntsville Ala.he was a neibor of a Cooper Turner there were only eight houses on that plantation,Cooper Turner was on that list but he wasn,t.The thing i have been trying to find out is when did he get to Madison County Alabama since we find him as a slave in 1860 over in Lawrence County.I e-mailed Susette and she said the 1866 Mad.County State Census was lost.
