Lynching site ?

On June 6, 1913 a Richard Galloway was reported killed {shot or lynched} after leaving a Texas jail.

The above report is dated from Beaumont Texas; however a 1913 report
claims killing took place in Newton Texas:

Photogragh # 2 of "Without Sanctuary" gallery shows a lynch victium outside
Jail. Question-what did the Newton Texas Jail look like at turn of century? Although the News report claims Galloway was shot-if "Without Santuary" picture was of him-his body may have been stung up as a "warning".
